Answers to the questions people ask most, and how to reach us when yours is not here.

We usually answer within two working days. Tell us your iPhone model, its iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened.

Getting started

Do I need an account?

No. The app makes one for your phone the first time it opens, and you can read without signing in. Sign in with Apple or Google from the account button when you want your charts to follow you to another phone.

I don't know my birth time.

Leave the time empty. The app then works the chart out for midday and leaves out what depends on the exact time: the houses, the Ascendant and the Midheaven. The Moon moves about 13 degrees a day, so its degree is approximate too.

My town is not in the place search.

Pick the nearest town. The place sets the time zone and the houses, and a few kilometres make no visible difference to a chart.

Asking questions

How do I ask about a reading?

Hold a paragraph to open its menu, then choose Ask about this. The first time, the app tells you what a question sends and asks your permission.

What gets sent when I ask?

Your question, your chart's placements and aspects, the transits running now, and the names you gave the charts. Your birth date, time and place are never sent, and neither is your email. Claude, a model made by Anthropic, writes the answer. To stop sending questions, open your account and set AI questions to Not allowed.

Why can't I ask any more this week?

Every plan comes with a number of AI answers a week, and the count starts again each Monday. On the free plan, asking needs a signed-in account.

Who can ask?

Readers 18 and over. The app checks the birth date on your own chart.

How do I report an answer?

Under every answer there is Report this answer. It opens a mail to support@thedispositor.com that names the answer, so tell us what was wrong with it. We read every report.

What happens if I write that I'm thinking of hurting myself?

If your words say you may be thinking about suicide or self-harm, or that someone you know is in danger, the answer sets the chart aside and answers you as a person. Next to it, the app shows how to reach help now: your local emergency number (112 in Türkiye and across Europe, 911 in the US and Canada) and findahelpline.com, which lists free, confidential helplines in your country. That answer is not taken from your weekly count. Up to three a day are written by the AI for what you said. After that the app answers with a short message of its own, beside the same ways to reach help.

The app looks for these words before the AI is asked, and the AI is told to watch for them as well. It never gives information about ways to hurt yourself.

Subscriptions

How do I cancel?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then The Dispositor. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles payments and refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple ID you paid with.

Your data

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open your account and tap Delete account. Your charts, readings and connections are erased at once, on our server and on the phone, and cannot be brought back.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes, free. Write to support@thedispositor.com from the email address on your account and we send everything we hold within 30 days. An account with no sign-in attached has no email address, so sign in with Apple or Google first; that keeps everything you have made.

The Privacy Policy lists everything we store and which companies receive any of it.

When something looks wrong

The app says it needs an update.

Your version is older than our server accepts. Update The Dispositor from the App Store.

My chart looks wrong.

Check the birth date, time and place on the chart. A time that is off by a quarter of an hour can move the Ascendant by several degrees. If the details are right and something still looks off, write to us with the chart's details and what you expected to see.
